From the SVA Class of 2021, my team's thesis summarizes several months of investigation around the topic of Protection through the lens of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The USDA is responsible for food, agriculture, natural resources, rural development, nutrition, and related issues.

Despite all attempts to solve hunger, food insecurity is still rampant. One in four families in the United States has experienced food insecurity in the last year, even though food is abundant. How does one of the wealthiest countries allow this to happen? What resources exist that can help solve this problem?
